Date Deck

My partner and I enjoyed trying out these cards before a couples' event we recently hosted. The conversation starter cards are engaging and sparked deep conversations. The hand-drawn illustrations add a nice touch to the overall experience. It's a great way to liven up date nights and strengthen our bond as a couple. We enjoyed using these cards and would recommend them to other couples looking for a fun and meaningful activity.

The bird illustrations on these are really great. I don't like the name of the deck, as it limits the potential uses. These could be good for any budding friendships- whether you use them as an actual deck, or to give you ideas about some things to start more interesting conversations.It's a fair price ($12 at the time of writing) and overall good value for something that can make time spent a little more interesting.

Great set of cards to truly spend time together in a different way what you normally would do. If you don't know what to buy as a gift for Christmas or any celebration this is a good one to add.

Dr. Bird's Cards Date Deck is about the size of a standard deck of cards; however, the twist is that each card-face comes will cartoonish-type illustrations of birds on one side along with a question to ask of the person with whom you are playing. On the opposite side of each face-card, below the product's logo and product title of "Date Deck," is a colored bar with the card-question's category: pink for "casual chats card"; blue for "getting serious card"; and purple for "deep discoveries card." The border on the question-side of the card matches the category color.I reviewed every single card before using them to "play the game" to determine how appropriate each question may or may not be to ask those with whom I was to play and also for them to ask me when playing. Overall, I judge that most of the cards can be used with someone who you have significant emotional intimacy or personal, romantic ties -- or are looking to build a deeper connection emotionally or romantically. However, I definitely pulled some of the cards from the deck before playing, even with folks who am deeply connected and share significant personal information and details. I recommend anyone purchasing this deck also "pre-screen" every card as well before using the deck "as is" to avoid potentially ackward or inappropriate situations that could surface based on the question pulled from the card deck.In terms of the questions themselves, none them were questions I had not seen elsewhere -- my spouse and I use a number of question-type activities and question-prompt discussion cards with couples in our premarital preparation and marriage-help ministries to help committed, motivated couples strength their connection. In fact, we used some of the cards in this deck for a recent marital-support monthly meetup as a couples' group-sharing exercise.That said, the typical dating, engaged, and / or married couple is likely to benefit from addressing a number of the card-deck questions on their own, such as doing at least one question each during a date or a meal together. The card-pack is small enough to carry around in a man's pants pocket or a small purse, such that any time a couple has a few minutes together somewhere at home or on the road, they could play a quick round.

I love these cards. They're great to use in a date situation but also with your friends. I've got to know so much more about my friends & also myself.The questions are really well thought out with different levels of intimacy depending on how "deep" you want to go, which is a really nice touch.The illustrations are also beautiful.Highly recommended
